happy with saturday nights boxing?
I thought it was ace, watch big bad john first with a good KO
then i switched over to premier sports and watch the watson win which i thought he totally deserved especially after being robbed first time
then the tyson fury fight was very entertaining, the dude he fought took some massive punches and the KO in the end was nice
then the daws theopane fight was good too, i cant believe daws was allowed to continue, but it kept me totally entertained
Then the hearns sturm fight as good, and then i went to bed
all in all a very nice evenings boxing dont you think?
Re: happy with saturday nights boxing?
I think you missed the best fight. Actually the best card.
Mike Jones & Nonito Donaire were both brilliant.

I missed the Watson fight mate, how'd it go? I'm so glad he got the win. He deserves to be 'up there' he's a good fighter.
Wooooo!
Re: happy with saturday nights boxing?
I'm surprised none of you have mentioned Witter the Hitter amongst all these great tear ups
Re: happy with saturday nights boxing?
i actually went to bed mid way through the witter fight
he looked like he had nothing left at all, i dunno which round he started blowing but it was early
the watson fight wasnt a cracker or anything but he definately deserved the win, and I agree JB, he seems to have all the skills and should be better regarded than he is

I agree. I was chuffed for Watson since he was robbed in the first fight. One of the most underrated fighters in the country. I was ringside for the Hatton-Lazcano fight and I said to my friend that I thought Matthew Hatton-Craig Watson for the Commonwealth title could be a close, decent fight. It wasn't, Watson just totally outclassed him and Hatton was in his shell the whole fight. Aside from Kell Brook, he's the best Welter in the country. They should put him in there with Michael Jennings next, or get him fighting for the European title in a rematch with Hatton.
Re: happy with saturday nights boxing?
beating hatton again would definately be good for watsons career, especially if the euro belt was on the line
for some reason tho, a fight between the two doesnt get me excited
Re: happy with saturday nights boxing?
That all did not sound very entertaining. I re-watched Mike McCallum v Michael Watson, classic fight.
Re: happy with saturday nights boxing?

See I've been the opposite. He grew on me, then my liking of him fell off a cliff quickly. Not seen this fight though, he's supposed to have done well.
i have to say he looked good
i wouldnt get carried away with it tho, the other guy was hard as fuck but didnt really have any skill
good fight mind you :)
Re: happy with saturday nights boxing?
Very Happy with the nights Boxing. I even signed up to premier sports to get the Wembley event.
Great news as well that I had £25 on Big bad John to win at 2-1 and also a bet on Tyson to win under 8 rounds and a bet on him to win in the first round at 10-1 (I was off my sofa pretty quick when he knocked him down!)
Also won money on the Ashley fight so all in all I had a great night!.
The only downside was the Witter fight. It was actually a bit embarrasing the amount of times he fell to the canvas..
