I don't know much about Diaconu neither, but this is a statement fight for Dawson. Dawson by KO so early, BHop and Pascal is not going to be ready to come down the ring. giving Dawson enough time to shower and be at ringside.
I would like to see him fight Cloud or Shumenov, but Diaconu is not bad either. Its a very good fight indeed.
Dawson should outclass and outmaneuver Diaconu well but interesting match. Will he be content to put on cruise control and frankly come out of another fight with as many questions as answers ...or find bullish Diacanu more and more and actually step in to make a statement. Diacanu will have to make it physical and has a punchers chance cause he ain't out boxing Dawson.
Manny is going to preach controlling distance and range to Dawson, he smothers himself too much which is why he's not an effective power puncher. If he stood back just a few more inches he'd be knocking guys out or at least hurting them.

Diaconu is a solid light heavyweight. He belongs in the top ten and I believe he would beat Shumenov. However, Dawson will win this if he controls the distance and fights on the outside. He just needs to tuck his chin in because Diaconu has some power. Dawson vacated his belt in the past when he had a mandatory with Diaconu in order to face Tarver, if I remember correctly.
Ishmial Syllakh is going to make things interesting at 175, especially if he has a solid chin.
Cloud-Mack is a good fight, I hope that one lands on a network should be action packed for as long as it lasts.
