Possible Sequel "The Fighter"

The Academy Awards that were won in this movie may have made the budget for a sequel. We may get the Hollywood version of the Ward-Gatti Trilogy that we had hoped would be in the first one in the second one. Though, I don't really see how they could make a more dramatic fight than the original....

Personally I hope they never make a sequel and just leave it where it is at....

You just can't remake the trilogy so you know already the film would be aload of dog shite.

Yeh I agree.

'The Figter' was not about the actual fight footage it was about the life story, that's what made it so good. We all know the story of the trilogy it doesn't need to be dramatised.

I have a feeling that if they made a sequel they would rely too heavily on the fights with Gatti and neglect the relationship between Dickie and Micky......just a hunch

Yeh I agree.

'The Figter' was not about the actual fight footage it was about the life story, that's what made it so good. We all know the story of the trilogy it doesn't need to be dramatised.

The best thing they could do is release the Trilogy with the DVD/BLU RAY release of the film to show just how much of a warrior both Ward and Gatti were! That would be a great bonus feature!

That's just wrong, Raging Bull is a classic. That's like trying to remake the Godfather or Schindler's List.
