Whaddya think...
Re: Why is lil floid on the P4P list at all in 2011...
I think he's going away from most P4P list on May 1st, that will be exactly 1 year since he fought Mosley.
Re: Why is lil floid on the P4P list at all in 2011...
He should be taken off for inactivity.

BoxRec inexplicably currently has lil floid #1 at Welterweight.
I don't see how 2 fights in 3½ years warrants any Top 5 ranking at all.
One fight was against a fat, old Featherweight, career 126 pounder who floid called all the way up to Welterweight, against whom floid weighed in a few lbs over the contracted weight and still danced to a sleep-inducing 12 rd decision.
The 2nd fight was to a 38 year old shadow of Shane Mosley who still almost cracked lil floid out of there inside of 2 rds.

the same old Featherweight that had just gotten robbed by Pacquiao a year earlier and the same old Shane Mosley who Pacquiao is now facing and his fanboys are trying to hype up as a legitimate challenge, it goes both ways buddy
and Floyd is listed as #1 at welterweight because he's still the Lineal Welterweight Champion, unlike Manny who just holds a strap
Re: Why is lil floid on the P4P list at all in 2011...
In the same time-period during the past 3½ years and floid's 2 fights, Pacquiao fought 9 times (including the Mosley fight 12 days from now) :
Marco Antonio Barrera
Juan Manuel Marquez
David Diaz
Oscar De La Hoya
Ricky Hatton
Miguel Angel Cotto
Joshua Clottey
Antonio Margarito
and upcoming Shane Mosley.
^ Whew, what a murderers' row there!! Top, most dangerous guys around. That's balls.

and you can break down Pacquiao's opponents the same way you did Floyd's, Ring can have Manny as #1 all they want, but the truth is the Lineal Welterweight Champion is Floyd Mayweather Jr so he's the real top dog at welter while Manny just holds the WBO strap
Re: Why is lil floid on the P4P list at all in 2011...
Well, if you're happy with a criminal who fights only 2 times in 3½ years... to each their own, to each their own.
Thanks also for reposting my beautiful writing over-and-over again by repeatedly quoting all of it.
You are a sheep who happily (and blindly) swallows floid's shovelfuls of bullshit without question. Clearly you can't think for yourself.
Now that you've had your over-emotional feminine outburst of outrage, go elsewhere and let the men talk some boxing....

Re: Why is lil floid on the P4P list at all in 2011...
Pacman is number 1 at WW no question.
Re: Why is lil floid on the P4P list at all in 2011...
...but that's not the question (even if you are 100% right, partner! :) )
Should floid be on ANY Top 5 list at all if he's only fought twice since Dec 2007 ?
.

The bold is just incorrect. The boxrec formula gives no weight to titles/belts etc. It is straight math.
Re: Why is lil floid on the P4P list at all in 2011...
Since the p4p concept cannot even get general agreement on criteria? I struggle to get amped up about it. A year between fights, even in this nobody fights often enough era, seems excessive to me for someone still to be ranked.

i'm not saying it cause of boxrec, i'm saying it because Mosley was considered to be the lineal welterweight champion since he beat Margarito, Floyd beat Mosley hence he's the Lineal Welterweight Champion of the world, no different to when Manny beat Hatton (who had no strap at 140), it's not opinion it's fact, funny how the Pactards (who don't think on their own) build up Manny's accomplishments yet love to tear everyone else down, and bradlee are you really talking about being "manly" when you have a picture of a fucking Troll doll on your avatar? :-X riiiiiight

I corrected a misstatement regarding boxrec, that's all. I agree Floyd remains the lineal 147 champ, but Mosely has nothing to do with it. Floyd became lineal champ by beating Baldomir and he hasn't lost it since. I sure wish he'd have defended that crown more actively against the logical guys, don't you?
Re: Why is lil floid on the P4P list at all in 2011...
i agree, just it's ridiculous when people try to discredit the guy just cause they spite his actions out of the ring, Floyd should be fighting more and should be fighting better opposition, but it's not like Manny Pacquiao is going for the toughest opposition available right now, says he wants Martinez but then says it has to be at 147, ffs fight a guy in an actual weight class, with the gloves regulated by the commission and stop with the drama queen antics, and that goes to both Floyd and Manny
