Is boxing your favorite sport?
Boxing is easily my favorite sport, followed at a distance by American College Football, and I still watch a bit of Pro Football, but not nearly as much as I used to. (my beloved Dallas Cowboys are too depressing)
It seems like a silly question to ask on a boxing forum, but is boxing really your favorite sport?
Re: Is boxing your favorite sport?
I don't even watch anything anymore other then boxing except some High School basketball on occasion. If guys are going to make millions I like to see some passion, heart, fight and something to lose..... A pro sports game just doesn't do it for me. They buy the teams.
Re: Is boxing your favorite sport?
American Football is my favorite sport followed by boxing, then Basketball and baseball.
Re: Is boxing your favorite sport?
Football (soccer for you American sorts) used to be my number one sport, used to spend a stupid amount of money on it going to games but, over the past two years, boxing has become my #1 sport. To the point of I can happily not watch a Manchester United game which I never thought would be possible.

Same here.
Re: Is boxing your favorite sport?
Boxing and hockey are 1a and 1b for me. Nothing else even comes close.
I probably like watching boxing more, but my favorite sports team is the Vancouver Canucks and I'm definitely more emotionally invested in them than I am in any fighter(s).

boxing, hockey, basketball
Re: Is boxing your favorite sport?
Boxing then quite a bit back cricket, football and then tennis.
There is nothing finer than watching two men hit each other in the head.

Boxing is not just my favourite sport it's one of my favourite things ever :p
If i'm not working, or spending time with family then i'll be watching it, reading about it, thinking about it lol im a right geek. My knowledge on it has suffered as i have got older and acquired responsibilities such as bills and my daughter etc but still takes up a lot of my spare time i just dont get to stay on top of it like i did before.
A few years ago i would have passed up nights out if there was a big fight on because i wanted to watch it live but didnt want to watch it drunk where as now i'll happily catch the repeat in the morning with a hang over.
Done a little bit of amateur boxing but 27 now, when i leave the army i might have 1 last crack at it and dedicate myself for a couple of years just to be able to say i did and i'm relatively fit so wouldnt take a long time to get back in to it.
Not interested in football (soccer) although i do follow palace (yeah yeah i know!) but thats about it. I cant stand watching it on tv but will go to a match if alcohol will be present.
big fan of motocross too as i used to race schoolboy and have a bike that i take to the track when i have time but not too fussed about watching it on tv anymore as i dont follow it closely enough.
The thing for me is i find it hard to respect any other sports they are all paid too much for what they do i know boxers are paid but they live the life for months to prepare for a fight and that must be mentally tough and get themselves to the point where they probably couldnt be much fitter. I love the fact that its 1 on 1 and its all on the individual when it matters, there are no team mates to blame. I actually respect cyclists and rowers etc more than footballers and the rest.
Boxing is definitely my favourite sport! ;D

Still in the Army eh? Thanks for serving! :beerchug:
For me, nothing beats a good fight for excitement, boxing beats the hell out of what ever sport comes in 2nd, which in my case is College FB.
