I didn't realize that but if anything it was an absurd case of overkill. There was no reason for Bute to have a "friendly" ref here (I didn't think allowing the Andrade fight to go on was as bad as some people thought fwiw) especially since they shipped him all the way to Romania. Mendy was the definition of a shit opponent and I would have been shocked if it had gone past four rounds.

I've mentioned this before but he quickly stopped the Berrio-Bute fight but he let the Bute-Andrade fight go on AAAAAAAAAANNNNNDDDDDDDDDD gave fucken Bute time to recover.
