"Classic" Movies that you've never seen
I'm in the process of watching 2001: A Space Odyssey.
I can't really compare it to any movie I've seen. My full review is yet to come. I'm sure you'll wait with baited breath.
As far as "old" movies go its unlikely to top the all time great, Chinatown, but I'm enjoying it.
Granted, I've missed a lot of "classics" but this is the thread for that.
I've also never seen The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, but the Korean version, The Good, The Bad, and The Weird, was strangely fantastic.

-Paths of Glory one of the few Kubrik movies I haven't seen.
I've missed a couple Hitchcock movies but I'll get around to them I'm going to see 'The Man Who Knew Too Much' tonight.
If you like a certain genre let me know and I'll suggest some flix for you.
How about movies before the Hayes code was eliminated? I think around before 1968? I just felt that Hollywood back then had more creativity before the gratuitous sex and violence started getting out of hand. I'm not a prude by any means just thought that Hollywood had much better quality of movies from that particular era.
For example I just got done watching the 1945 version of the Picture of Dorian Gray with Angela Lansbury and thought it was much superior than the newer 1970s version which had copious amounts of sexual matters and drug use. You know what they say, sometimes less is more. The '45 version just hinted what were the sins of Dorian instead of showing it like the 70s version, surprisingly it's also rated much higher by critics.

I have a lot of movies I need to see.
I made the mistake of trying to watch the Redux version - which was possibly one of the worst and most boring movies I have ever seen - and now I can't make myself watch the original (which is supposed to be great).
Re: "Classic" Movies that you've never seen

I watched Dr. Strangelove last night and had a big ol' Churchill cigar. Dr. Strangelove is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen bar The Big Lebowski.
had to watch this in a film history class and loved it!

This is what your porn addiction has done to you. I've seen all these films.
Someone find me a modern classic film that doesn't suck - I probably won't have seen it. :)
