Who I guess earned it be going the distance with 8-33 fighter. And Cook for even getting in the ring. He knew he was hurt and limited. Why get in there? Murray-Mitchell don't got to do much to top this garbage of a card so far
I thought that a first, but now I feel sorry for Cook. That clearly wasn't part of the plan and he ha trained for it, I think it was just unfortunate that it happened mid fight, I bet his training went fine.
Jump into the main fight thread & you'll see why all disgust should be with either Cook or the British Board of Control. Ricky Burns has nothing to be embarassed by.
He should be embarrassed he even agreed to the fight. Cook had done nothing to earn a title shotQuote:

Burns is a part-time fighter. He works everyday in a sports shop. He can't fill a phonebox even in his hometown.
I highly doubt he has much clout when it comes to choosing his opponents.

None of us will ever know, but I would guess it has bothered him in training camp. The likelihood of it "flaring up" in that short a time into the fight isn't very high, unless it had been bothering him quite a bit during training camp.
Cook shouldn't have been chosen as an opponent in my opinion.
There was some strange betting before the fight so this was an out for him not to fall in the 3rd round. Fake injury.
I heard that betting was suspended for the fight. Someone obviously knew something.
As someone with a horrible back problems I can tell you that you never ever know what will cause it to dump your ass in the floor. You can run a mile and be fine, step off a curb and be bed ridden. Cook prob rolled the dice.
i wouldnt be surprised if alot of money went on the early rounds or round 3 because cook had had afew problems in training and they fought the fight wouldnt go long. He did seem to be in alot of pain in the fight.
bellew - glass jaw going no were.
Mitchell - got hit flush with the same type of shots that Katsidis koed him with , he just wasnt in with a world class puncher.
Burns - none puncher plastic title.
Cook - should be flogged.
All in all was total shite , thanks frank.
