were does JuanMa go from here ....
JuanMa was at the Salido fight to check up on him before the proposed rematch, a rematch that i definatly see him losing
he also looked huge about 150lb and looks like getting back down to 126 could be a struggle, now after a second loss to salido or if they decide to look elsewere as the fight isnt yet signed i cant see were he can go in the division... a gamboa fight would be very dangerous for him i think
Re: were does JuanMa go from here ....
Were I his trainer? he takes a comeback fight with a light punching fringe contender, maybe a Steve Molitor? Get his feet back under him. Then I'd give Rafael Marquez a rematch. THEN I'd go after big fish.
Re: were does JuanMa go from here ....
Another thread ask what if young fighters lose early? JuanMa losing early is going to make him get in the ring with the best. Gamboa and Chris John is a must if he want to be consider one of the top at featherweight. Thats if he wins the rematch!!! IF!!! If he can't or don't get any of those fights, I see him moving to 130 and getting a title shot the first time he steps in that division. And since 130 don't have any money making names, 135 should be his destination. Not sure if his chin can hold up in that division.

JuanMa took Salido lightly, and paid dearly for it, i'd love to see a rematch, which I believe JuanMa will come back and win.
As for Gamboa, this dude can write his own ticket, I don't see anyone beating him right now.
Re: were does JuanMa go from here ....
Rematch with Salido is the fight. He can win that if he comes in properly prepared.
Re: were does JuanMa go from here ....
Lopez needs to move on and stay away from Salido. Not that Salido is that much better than him. It's that it seems to me to be a case of a fighter having another fighters number. I agree Lopez didn't tale Salido as seriously as he should of. And that Lopez wasn't at his best. But I don't think that matters to much. Cuz he still hit Salido flush with his best punches. And Salido took them. And that started fucking with Lopez head. I see no different in the rematch
Re: were does JuanMa go from here ....
Fight "El Cuate" Ruiz as a tune up fight get a win under your belt then rematch Salido...
Re: were does JuanMa go from here ....
Juanma is young enough to come back from this. I can see it being like Khan's loss to Prescott. He needs to go back and re-group, regain his focus and i think he will be fine. He's got the talent and the youth on his side, it's up to him if he wants to get focused.
Re: were does JuanMa go from here ....
JuanMa needs to work on his defense, and make some adjustments. If he goes in there with the same gameplan he had in their first fight, the results will be the same, only quicker. I'm a JuanMa fan, but he needs to learn from his first defeat.
