Now that is a top quality bit of work right there. I just feel like I'm not the stupidest thing on the planet for just a little while. :-)

I actually have one of those dogs, the 4th one down. Slobbers fuming everywhere and snores like a pig!
Is that a Dogue de Bordeaux then? Looks kind of like the dog from Turner and Hooch, but hard to say in these pics!

It is the same dog used in Turner and Hooch film (which was the film that made me want one!) the one used in the film was a slight tweak of the breed though, was even bigger than normal. Mine is a bitch, so slightly smaller than the males, still weighs in at 11 stone though! The kids used to ride around on her.
I volunteered at the local RSPCA, and the ones we've had in have always had a very good disposition, so I'm not surprised they were good with kids.
After turner and hooch, I imagine the breed popularit skyrocketed too. What was the price for them?

I bet you have a beast of a dog. If it's a Shitzu I've got you all wrong.
I reckon the nastiness in dogs is in opposite correlation to their size, so the smaller the dog, the meaner and more likely to bite they are. Therefore, I reckon Lyle has some sort of terrier, or maybe something more traditionally used for hunting.
