FNF thread for August 5th
:action:
August 5
At Santa Ynez, Calif. (ESPN2): Tim Coleman vs. Vernon Paris, 10 rounds, junior welterweights; Cristobal Cruz vs. Art Hovhannisyan, 10 rounds, junior lightweights; Luis Franco vs. Adolfo Landeros, 8 rounds, featherweights; Roman Morales vs. Rodrigo Arranda, 6 rounds, featherweights; Michael Anderson vs. Bernardo Guereca, 8 rounds, welterweights.
Vernon Paris 24-0 (14 KO's) vs Tim "the pit bull" Coleman 19-1-1 (5 KO's) in the main event. (the pit bull needs to work on his power)
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
The main event has apparently been very heated. They've been going back & forth on fighthype & facebook with some VERY personal things. Floyd Sr has apparently refused to be in Paris' corner over his commitment to boxing & personal behaviour (Coleman alleges he's been smoking crack), so that says something about how bad Paris must have been given Big Floyd ain't exactly a paragon of virtue.
Then yesterday they had a mass brawl between the two camps in the hotel lobby, although both fighters escaped without any significant damage.
I'm probably gonna root for Coleman. He seems the slightly less stupid of the two, given all I've read Paris say is how much of a thug he is & how if the fight was in Detroit, Coleman would've been getting stabbed & shot by his friends. Seems a bit of a knob.
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
I hope the tennis runs long!
I've got a meeting at 3pm my time. Baaaad planning.
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
I'm really looking forward to this one. Someone's getting KOed. All kinds of bad intentions, with a smattering of BS

Interesting, might be a good night of boxing, let's see what Teddy says about Pavlik cancelling his fights with Cunningham and Bute.

All I have to say is Woo Hoo, we won't have to listen to what Teddy says about Pavlik, or anything else for that matter, for the remaining shows. He's off to Russia to train Povetkin. ;D
Double good news for me, but bad news for Lyle ;), my dear friend Sergio Mora is filling in for Teddy tonight, and I think for the remaining 2 shows after tonight. Not sure yet about the other 2 shows, because he is in training as well, so not sure if he's going to be able to make it work. I think Sergio does a good job at commentating actually, and I think he should pursue it once he decides to hang up his gloves.
BTW, good evening gentleman. How are my boys tonight?

I know shit talking is all apart of the game, but you better watch what you say, because I seriously doubt he would feel great about taking a mans life. Stupid thing for him say.

If you watched the Bute/Brinkley fight, then you heard him, because he was commentating on that fight. He's done quite a few actually, but I thought that might be a fight you would have watched.
Re: FNF thread for August 5th
Art Hovhannisyan looks to have some talent.
Teddy is probably watching this in Russia. ;)

He's probably talking about the jab and going to the basement right now.

Could be Diane, I just don't recall hearing Mora before, his voice is easy to listen to.
