Kessler will have his shot at another title facing Robert Stieglitz November 5 in Copenhagen. Looks like Showtime will show it on a split site card with Bute-Johnson. I think Mikkel gets the win and puts him right in the mix to fight the SS winner or Bute.

I won't be too upset that Kessler took this fight if he goes on to unify with Bute or takes on Froch or Ward after the fight with Stieglitz, but I'll lose some respect if he does what he did post-loss to Calzaghe in fighting nobody's in Denmark.Quote:

I hate to say this but this is probably the last belt Kess wins. I just cant see him beating the top guys like Ward, Bute & Froch (I know he already beat Froch but I think he loses in a rematch) o

Also the eye doesn't help much...
Personally, I reckon Stieglitz doesn't make it to the fight, as he's not exactly had the best record over recent years. A lot of inconveniently timed injuries and illnesses haven't made me too confident in his ability to get to the ring.
A win gets Kessler right back in the mix, for better or worse.

Picking up another alphabet title gives him more negotiating power when in talks with rival champions. Bute, Froch and Ward are all future fights for Kessler. I think he can avenge the Ward defeat if its in Denmark beacuse Ward will not be allowed to get away with his usual antics over there.
Bute wont fight outside of Canada and Froch wont be going back to Denmark anytime soon.
I think Kessler against any of those guys will be a good fight. However i still don't see him beating Ward. Even if Ward was deducted 1 or even 2 points in that fight he still wins a UD.Quote:
