Thoughts and advice please - cancelled Ray Leonard evening (still no money back!)

People

Myself and two mates paid £100 (or there or there abouts) for an evening with Sugar Ray Leonard back in February (I think its that long ago) for a date in April.

Anyway it got postponed and rescheduled for July 16th. About 2 weeks before that however it got cancelled altogether and a note on site said instructions would follow on how to get money back. Nothing has followed so after third email to organisers have finally got a response from boxingpromotions , the organizers in Liverpool, saying....

Ray Leonard Jr still not paid them their money back and now they having to go legal with them and get SRL's people involved to get money back too. Until then they can't do anything:confused:

I appreciate they got isues but shouldnt the company in UK be responsible and not Ray Leonrd Jr ?? Should I befriend him on facebook and just ask for my £100 direct ???

Yeah Id be telling him, for sure and asking him his side of it, publicly on his front page too, not in private messages.

Be like "Hey what going on champ?"

Mate if you paid boxingpromotions then you paid them for a Ray Leonard evening not excuses.

if Ray owes them money it is not your problem and they are resonsible for that not you...if you paid by credit card then contact your credit card company tell them what happened and get them to get your money back for you.

if you paid by paypal... call your money back in a paypal dispute explaining what happened.

another note would be to tell them how you plan to get your money back just to give them a chance to do the right thing.. because callbacks from paypal or a credit card effect them being able to use that method for taking money in the future if too many people do it to them.... so they will prob just pay you without a fuss if you threatened them with that ;)
