Re: A question of weight!
There is no "set in stone" rule for weight to height ratios. More to do with body shape. ie: How much fat you are caring around, how much muscle definition there is.
Most Pro at 5'7" are around the welterweight to light middle weight.
Between 147 and 154 lbs
But like I said, it depends on your body shape.
Re: A question of weight!
I'm kinda broad around the top and I have muscle but also a little bit of fat. Kinda like a Chuck Liddell build.

^That wasn't meant to sound big headed. Apologies!

No problems.
I'm 6' and around 210 :)
Re: A question of weight!
Haha!
So I should be looking to aim for Welterweight, about 145-150 pounds?
Re: A question of weight!
At your height. That would be the start.
That way you are not going against guys who have too big of a reach or height on you.
Re: A question of weight!
Oh and find a boxing trainer in you local area. He should be able to tell you where you need to be weight wise just from looking at you. ;)
Re: A question of weight!
I reckon at least Welterweight. Lower you can get the better but welter would be ok. Thats only if youre taking it super serious though.
Re: A question of weight!
1 reason I asked is that I was making myself on Fight Night Champion as you do.
And you can't have my Height and weight in the same class :S
Shortest Light Heavy/w is 5'8" and is in my weight range
Middleweight has my Height 5'7" but the heaviest weight is 160
Lol I can't win!
