No, he was clearly down, but his power had the potential to cause hurt. At the time of the stoppage I felt he was still well in the fight.
That was a pretty one-sided fight. All the sharp punches- until the couple before the butt- were from Mayweather. Ortiz doesn't have the skill or the brains to beat Mayweather.
No, I gave him one round. He looked like he was going to lose, but the ending was a joke.
He never won a single round.
I think an argument could be made for Ortiz winning round 2, but he was definitely down on the cards. It was a relatively competitive fight though, at least by Mayweather standards.Quote:

I had a shutout to that point, but it was still competitive and Ortiz was in the fight I thought.
Yeah I'll agree he was still in the fight, but that was due to the hope he was going to land when he waded in with punches when Floyd was against the ropes. I don't think he was ever going to land cleanly on Mayweather with his head hunting though, and after the head butt I turned to my Girlfriend and said he'll KO him now. Sure enough he did.Quote:
