52 year old Dewey Bozella may fight on Hopkins undercard (AMAZING STORY).

he man served 26 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit !

A former amatuer boxer, he went on to become the light heavyweight prison boxing champ.

Bozella even got to fight former WBA LH champ Lou Del Valle in 2009 IN PRISON.

He lost, but apparently gave Del Valle a good tear up, at age 50 no less.

And now B-Hop is training him to fight on the undercard of his fight against Dawson.

All the guy wants is one pro fight.

Interesting story. He has the rit team behind him thats for sure!

I think you will see a bit of a career come from this, not just a one off fight. At least he has an amateur pedigree.

He looks and sounds like Hopkins too.

And yes as J_C said, I'm sure if Bozella gets medically cleared he will get a tomato can to fight. He deserves one, nothing else seems to have been easy for him in his life.

Very moving, cant imagine 30years in the big house.

Fair play to the chap. Would be fascinating to see him get his chance to fight in the pro ranks at that age.

Former amateur boxer Dewey Bozella was approved by the California State Athletic Commission to fight on the undercard of the light heavyweight bout between RING and WBC titleholder Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson, Bozella told RingTV.com on Thursday.

Bozella said that a professional fight was one of the first things he had hoped for upon being released. Now, he will get that chance.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and it's very, very much appreciated. They're giving me a chance, and that's all that I've asked for," said Bozella.

"Oscar and them were here today, celebrating with me, and with Bernard Hopkins and Golden Boy Promotions, I'm just appreciating everything that they're doing and everything that they've done. I got a break. They've let me get my license. So I can now fight on the Bernard Hopkins under card," said Bozella.

"I feel excellent. I feel good. I'm happy about that. But now, it's time for me to step my game up. I've got to go back to the Bernard Hopkins' camp and really, really work on a few things, because I've got to win the fight, man. I've got to win the fight, it's as simple as that right now."
