Is Yori Boy Campas a hall of famer ?
Was he a good fighter ? A great fighter ? A hall of famer ?
Sure, the man quit in most of his losses, but he was one hell of a puncher, and has an eye popping record.
Also, he's still fighting, and believe it or not is on a 7 fight win streak at 40 years old !
Luis Ramon Campas - Boxer
Re: Is Yori Boy Campas a hall of famer ?
I can't believe he's still fighting. What's his best victory?
Re: Is Yori Boy Campas a hall of famer ?
Tito ruined him. He was 56-0 at the time and climbing fast.
Later in his career, certain vultures came in and feasted on the carcass.
I always liked the guy, though.

Love the fighter, the Tito fight was awesome. He was a good fighter who was exciting but not HOF material.

if Gatti isn't good enough for the HOF (and there are a few on here who have said just that), no way in hell Campas is deserving

eh eh!!!
He's not a C level fighter at all.
While probably not a hall of famer, he does have victories over:
Raul Marquez, Anthony "Mr." Jones, and Tony Ayala Jr.
Not to mention he gave Tito and Vargas good fights.

if stallone gets in. campas gets in.
Re: Is Yori Boy Campas a hall of famer ?
Not even close he never beat an elite fighter, he lost to all big names Trinidad, Lopez, Vargas, ODLH, Carr. He had a couple of decent wins here and there but not even close to being in the hall of fame.

Ruined him so much that Campas won his only title after facing Trinidad

Agreed i don't think Tito ruined him, i just don't think he was overly good. Jose Luis Lopez murked Campas, now thats a guy who had potential to be canidate for HOF. But he was so damn inconsistent frustrating fighter.

I'd say that Trinidad did ruin him a bit, seeing how he quit every time he saw his own blood afterwards
that's like saying Trinidad didn't ruin Vargas cause Fernando went on to win another world title after the beating Tito gave him, which anyone who knows boxing knows that that's not the case (and no VD I'm not saying you don't know your boxing haha)

He also gave Obar Carr a good fight too.

LOL... "Ruined" may have been a bit strong. Point is, though, he softened him up enough to make him easier pickings for some of the "conquerors" that came after Tito, including the cross-dresser.
