Nonito Donaire & Nishioka on a collision course in an all Asian showdown?
Donaire has stated many times that he's gunning for the winner of last night's bout. THis fight wouldnt be as big as it should be in America but in Japan and around Asia, it's a superfight and Donaire would get a huge payday..
Who wins?

Donaire beats him up, but it's a great fight that should happen. I wish he could skip this fight against Narvaez to go right at Nishioka.

I didn't see the fight, but apparently Nishioka is no slouch, he won a clear cut decision over Rafael Marquez Saturday night, I still think Donaire knocks Nishioka out within 6 rounds.

Nishioka is very technically sound and competent but he's really not in Donaire's class -- Donaire is faster, more powerful, and more dynamic. Nishioka is not an easy fight for anyone but he'll be a huge underdog and deservedly so. I say Donaire by KO 8-ish or a wide UD.
And that should be the *only * fight Donaire takes at 122 before moving on up to the more interesting and bigger fights at 126 (the Gamboa fight will be huge). Fighting Arce at 122 first (supposedly the plan) is a waste of time.

scores were Robert Hoyle 117-111 | judge: Dave Moretti 116-112 | judge: C.J. Ross 115-113, so sounds a lot closer than you'd imagine

It wasn't as close as the 115-113 score indicates. The fight was competitive early on, but by the end Nishoika was tattooing Marquez. By round 10 or so it looked like Marquez was on his way to getting stopped.
