All But Two FTSE 100 Firms 'Avoid Paying Tax'
What an outrage this is. People the world over are paying for the mistakes of governments and bankers through austerity and yet the biggest corporations are all avoiding tax on a massive scale. Now what would happen to you if you started trying to wriggle out of paying council or income tax? And yet these monoliths are all readily at it and getting away with it.

Yes, I see this is a rather dull thread. It could never catch on in anyway. It is very important though.
Re: All But Two FTSE 100 Firms 'Avoid Paying Tax'
The amount of tax that is lost from multinationals is £18 billion, this is 12 times the amount lost through benefit fraud, 1.5 billion. Some of the big banks use these tax havens around the world to keep away money that could be spent of schools, hospitals and those vulnerable in society that really need it.

Excellent, glad to see someone taking an interest and also providing some hard data. It's just gruesome isn't it? Everyone is being taken for a ride just so that those with vested interests in these firms (the rich) do well.
It's time for some serious Robin Hood type to instigate revolution.
