JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR: Bringing In the Crowds
Jesus Christ Superstar was first recorded and released in the form of a rock-opera concept-album in the USA in May 1971.It became a musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice, and was first staged on Broadway in October 1971.
The musical was based very loosely on the Gospels' account of the last week of Jesus' life, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem, and ending with His crucifixion. A film adaptation of Jesus Christ Superstar was released in 1973, and was the eighth highest-grossing film of that year.-Ron Price with thanks to Wikipedia, 3 September 2011.
I was about to fly to Australia
back then in mid-1971 and by
the time the musical appeared
on Broadway I was ensconced
in a primary-school classroom
in a semi-arid dog-biscuit city
in South Australia….But when
the film was released in 1971:
I was teaching high-school….A
LSA was formed in Whyalla, a
port city in the Eyre Peninsula;
the only LSA outside a capital
city in the west and centre of
Australia: mirabile dictu……..1
Jesus Christ Superstar went on
to be performed again & again
and it’s still bringing in crowds.2
The Baha’i Faith in Australia went
on to be expanded again & again:
it’s starting to bring in the crowds.3
1 Latin phrase meaning ‘marvellous to relate’

3 There were 3000(circa) Baha’is in Australia in 1971 and in 2011 17,000(circa). And I’m still living Downunder.

Ron see you in 5 years time for the response.
Re: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR: Bringing In the Crowds
Ron is the psychotic old man you see in coffee shops or book stores that you try desperately to avoid and is impossible to get away from.
Rambling incoherent rants are the general theme.
I am Icon.
Re: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR: Bringing In the Crowds
Rambling and incoherent I wouldnt say, but rather utterly smacks of missionary efforts.
Re: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR: Bringing In the Crowds
Baha’i Faith, Seems like a decent enough system.
Up to the 9th level of consciousness its seems, from briefly looking into their use of sacred geometry.
They do good in their works for others, so good on them.:)
Re: JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR: Bringing In the Crowds
Didn't Ian Gillan, of Deep Purple, perform as Jesus? In 'Jesus Christ Superstar', of course. Either on vinyl or onstage.

It has been many a moon since I dropped in here. Readers with the interest might like to have a look at my website where I spend more of my writing-time than I do at boxing sites.-Ron Price, Tasmania
