Rosinsky versus Rodrguez on Shobox
Will Rosinsky, a great kid with a terrific head on his shoulders, gave Edwin Rodriguez all he could handle last night on Shobox. That decision, 100-90 by all three judges, perpetuates the lack of a valid rewards system in boxing. I go to a fair amount of shows and see honest judging for the most part (in fact almost always) but last night the judges were either incompetent or dishonest.
Smoger was terrific as usual as referee. He slipped a punch at the bell.
That fight was a draw.

No it wasn't a draw, least not in my view.
Neither was it a shut out as the judges had it.
Tarver once again led his fellow commentators and viewers astray with his nonsense commentating and taking the opposing view just to be a dick as usual.
Rosinsky did well and pressed the fight, even won a few middle rounds, but he did NOT THROW ENOUGH PUNCHES.
I had Rosinsky winning 3 rounds, 4 at the absolute most.
Edwin won that fight, but it was a good, tough fight, not a shut out.

Rodriguez may have pulled it out in the tenth, 96-94 at best, 100-90 from all 3 judges was ridiculous. It was a prejudged fight.

I still say it was prejudged. Edwin may have pulled it out in the tenth but those judges were influenced by the prefight hype and Rodriguez being America's supposedly best super middle weight prospect. 100-90, by all 3 judges? No way.

Oh no I agree it was a fix. The judging was atrocious. BUT the result was correct, Rodriguez won that fight.

I could see a draw. I was leaning toward a draw myself although I could also Edwin winning 6-4. All three announcers had it a draw by the way. Many of the rounds were close. It was a solid fight though.
Re: Rosinsky versus Rodrguez on Shobox
The fight was a scorcher and Rodriguez had his hands full and had to work hard. If his opponent had any power there would be no discussion about the three blind judges. It was not a shut out and I think judges should have a vision test. It's been a weird year so far and all because of officials leaving their seeing eye dogs at home.

By the way Steve Farhood had it 7-3 for Rodriguez. Or 6-4. Tarver was going on about nonsense as usual and corrupted the other idiot and tried to corrupt Farhood.

I'm almost positive Steve Farhood had it 5-5. All three announcers had Rodriquez and Rosinsky winning different rounds though, which goes to show you it was close.

Farhood said he had no problem with Rodriguez winning and he gave Rosinsky at least 3 rounds.
Regardless Rosinsky just did not do enough to win 5 rounds or more, to me that is insane.
I really believe Tarver influenced the perception of the fight with his usual black sheep point of view.
I mean this is the same man who has said that Andre Ward is already better at Super Middle than Roy Jones was.

I'll go back and watch it. At the time, I thought it was a close fight that could go either way. I wasn't screaming "robbery" after the fight either.
I agree that Roskinsky didn't do enough and that is why he loss, but I also thought a lot of Rodriguez's punches were badly thrown and had nothing on them and that Rosinksy initiated the action much of the time. Rosinksy's punches had more zip to them too. At the end of the day, it looked like Rodriquez's experience paid off. He has got a ton more exposure than Rosinksy and that led to him winning the fight. This was a huge step up for Rosinksy (much bigger than for Rodriquez) and I thought he outfitted himself well.

He did very well for only fighting bums up til then. He only got stunned a bit one time that I saw, and was the aggressor.
I'd like to see either man in there with Allan Greene as a test.
Re: Rosinsky versus Rodrguez on Shobox
I had it a draw at 114-114. Top fight, I'm ok with Rodriguez winning but those scores were whack.
Re: Rosinsky versus Rodrguez on Shobox
I was with Farhood yesterday as we announced the 1st class of the New York State Boxing Hall of Fame. I didn't see the fight as I was running an Amateur boxing show in Jersey City, But Steve told me that he had it 5-5.

Hulk - I've read multiple places that Farhood had it 5-5 too. Again, this was not a robbery, but it was not a dominating, clear win for Rodriguez like the scorecards seem to indicate.
