Booth on points
Well that didnt happen
Not that anyone was bothered
How did the fight go? It looks like Booth quit/was stopped between rounds?
Booth retired himself after the 7th. His corner probably wouldnt have let it go much further anyway. He was just getting soundly beaten and constantly on the backfoot having a real hard time. Quigg fought a near perfect fight, he looks the real deal. Huge at the weight with all the tools.
I'm surprised there wasn't a thread made for this fight too.
Quigg looked very good and very strong. Booth just couldn't get away, he quit and like he said in the post fight interview there was nothing he could do. He knew he couldn't win so it was pointless being in there. Was a good performance by Quigg but he was a lot bigger than Booth he wont be able to bully guys his own size around like that.
Still only young so loads of time to get better looking forward to seeing more of his fights.
Well done to both fighter's thank's to Booth to the many great fight's i have seen him in,good luck to Jason. And Quig I do think the only way is up I hope there look's to be some good fight's ahead for Scott.;D:appl:
Don't think it's exaggerating to say Quigg looked sensational. Yes he was too big for Booth and it may well be the end of the line for the inspirational "too smooth", but you can only beat who's in front of you and Scott did this in real style. The thing that impressed me most was his improvement, his already excellent defence is even tighter and his accuracy and aggression now match it. He's is a relatively inexperienced boxer but his background in MA seems to have helped rather than hinder him. He is very confident and i think his work rate will overwhelm Frampton. Would love to see him in with Munro or Martinez towards the end of next year.
It was a true handover fight.
Booth is used to going in with bigger guys, he's done it plenty before. He was second on speed and power and there isn't much you can do if that happens.
Munroe could be next to hand over.
