Kell Brook to make US debut on Froch undercard 12/17

Unbeaten British Welterweight star Kell Brook will make his debut on American soil on December 17 as part of the undercard of Carl Froch’s Super Six final against Andre Ward at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Brook took his unbeaten record to 25-0 with 17 KOs two weeks ago with a sixth round stoppage of tough Pole Rafal Jackiewicz. “I’ve been dreaming of fighting on a massive show in America and I plan to put on a great performance,” said Brook. “The pressure will be on to dazzle the American fans and that’s exactly what I plan to do.” The opponent for Brook’s US bow will be named soon.

I really hope he fights a decent ranked fighter. Brook needs to step it up now, he definatley has the potential to do things at 147.

I wouldnt mind a fight with Jesus Soto Karass..

Questions about Brook's chin, toughness, and ability to overcome adversity will be somewhat answered in a bout against Karass..

For a US debut which is specifically designed to make Brook look good, I can't imagine they'll put him in with anyone that is too tough....probably a keep busy fight to give him some exposure and raise the profile for a really big fight in the spring.

I think a Malignaggi type fighter will be the most dangerous that his promoters will dare go, and I doubt they'd even go that far.

Brook impressed me with his last fight, what about Zaveck? Would be entertaining & very winnable

This will be a basic walkover job (as Rhun said). It wont be anyone close to world-class. Not even close to Powderpuff level. It will go out early on the card to an empty arena so SKY can show it live as an early appetizer (that's what normally happens anyway).

They would actually sell a fight with Powderpuff as a big deal.
