Most pacman fans are singing a different tune...
All of a sudden they arent so interested in fight against floyd and all of a sudden the knew floyd would win. And his camp? well that fourth fight with marquez isnt such a great idea, what are they hoping will happen next time? plus the fact that this trilogy is 2-0-1, with two wins(on the record books) for manny, whats left to prove right? its too obvious the goal is simlply to avoid floyd, i like manny a whole lot, but his fans and his camp makes me mad enough to want to see him demolished. Its a shame really, i say bob and freddie stop being girls and get this getty going.

I agree, I've gone down to watch Pacquiao as often as Mayweather fight in Vegas, but all in the hopes of them facing eachother. I honestly think Pacquiao still presents a unique contrast to Floyd's style. I've never felt that Manny could beat him, but Pacquiao does have his speed, power, stamina, and explosiveness that could potentially test Floyd in unique ways. FIghting Marquez again doesn't accomplish anything except pissing off fans because as great as their fights are, everyone wants to see Pacquiao-Mayweather.

Yeah another fight is really overkill, theres only so much you want to see the same two fighters fight, usually why they end it in a trilogy. And agreed, even thou i think i "know"(can never be the case in boxing) who wins, i still think its an interesting match up, as interesting as any in boxing today
Re: Most pacman fans are singing a different tune...
the 4th fight with Marque would have mad sense if they would have given the decision to the right fighter, cause even though i have Marquez 3-0 against Manny (at worst 2-0-1) on paper the 4th fight would have been the tie breaker, but now that Manny has been given 2 wins what's the point? and really why the fuck would Marquez bother even taking the fight, he can win every round and he still wont get the decision, so just go ahead and let Manny take his ass whooping from Mayweather

Based on Pacquiao's 7 fights prior to this one with Marquez, I thought Pac had a good chance of beating Mayweather Jr., now i'm not so sure, but i'd still like to see the fight.
Pac-JMM 4 needs to happen, and Pac-Floyd needs to happen, which one happens first really doesn't matter to me.
Re: Most pacman fans are singing a different tune...
Why does Pac vs JMM 4 need to happen??
So that Bob Arum can milk his cash cow further before the big one?
So that Freddie can get over his ego problem that his fighter isn't as good as Marquez and maybe it doesn't matter how fucking good of a coach he thinks he is?
Or maybe so that Manny can cash another 25+ mill whilst getting a gift?
So that they can rob Marquez again?
Seriously..there isn't one good reason for Marquez (ok maybe the cash) or BOXING to have a 4th.
And the whole "to make it right" argument is bullshit because they've done that twice already and the judges have proven that they can't get it right. We'll be at Marquez vs Pacquiao 8 by the end of 2012 if they keep using that logic.

I get your point, I just see a 4th fight as "unfunished business". It may not resolve anything, but in view of all the controversy, and for the good of boxing it needs to be made.
Let's face it dude, you just wanna see Pac get his ass kicked by Floyd. ;)

Count me as one who doesn't have much interest in Pacquiao versus Mayweather until Pacquiao shows that he can fight a counter puncher. It would be a one-sided blow out, drug tests or not. It's like who really wants to see Martinez beat up Chavez Jr. even if he is owed the fight?

The most money outside of a Floyd fight. This time he'll have more leverage in negotiating too. He already made more money against Pacquiao in this fourth fight (5M to 3.2M) than he did against Mayweather and he came out the people's champ whereas Pacquiao came out of this fight as the villlain Rafe Bartholomew on Marquez-Pacquiao III - Grantland
Re: Most pacman fans are singing a different tune...
I hope they don't fight for a 4th time. We all know JMM won the fight, don't give Bob and the boys a out to not face Mayweather. Let's get this fight done already, JMM has nothing left to prove to Pac and Roach, they have a lot left to prove to JMM and the boxing world.

That doesn't make any sense. What does Pacquiao fighting Mayweather do for Marquez? He doesn't stand to make any money on that fight.
Let's assume Marquez had beat Pacquiao on the scorecards, would there be a point in a Mayweather fight? Because as far as Saddo posters go that is exactly what happened. Unless Pacquiao can avenge that close win over Marquez, I don't see what a Mayweather fight will show us. Do you just want to see Manny get destroyed? Enlighten me.
