Decision on Margarito's New York boxing license to be made Tuesday
According to Fat Dan:
Margarito's right eye will examined Monday (today) by a New York State Athletic Commission-appointed ophthalmologist to decide whether Margarito is medically fit to be licensed for his scheduled Dec. 3 rematch with junior middleweight titlist Miguel Cotto at Madison Square Garden.
The NYSAC is scheduled to decide the issue once and for all at a 3 p.m. ET hearing Tuesday. (tomorrow)

Unless he's blind and his orbital bone is being held together by duct tape, they'll sanction him. There's far too much money involved.

That's what i'm thinking, it's hard to figure why the nitwits at the New York State Athletic Commission waited until the last minute to pull this nonsense.. I mean WTF, are they really all that concerned about Antonio's health? :horseshit:

The commission is just protecting themselves, they know Cotto is going to beat Margarito's ass, so they want to make sure he'll survive it

I hope they're right... ;)
Re: Decision on Margarito's New York boxing license to be made Tuesday
The commission have a duty of care to look after the boxer, the worst case scenario would be if Margarito gets badly hurt in the fight and goes blind. He could sue them. This is really lastminutedotcom.

Re: Decision on Margarito's New York boxing license to be made Tuesday
Cotto is taking a stand here.. He says that he wont fight anywhere outside of NY...
