Can Ricky Burns beat the likes of John Molina and Hank Lundy?
Without using Kat victory as leverage, when you analyze his style, do you feel that he's a better fighter than these guys?

My out look on Burn's, is this trate his
will to win over over whelming odd's.
That's Ricky Burn's;D
Re: Can Ricky Burns beat the likes of John Molina and Hank Lundy?
Sure he can. Not only- he would beat both Molina and Lundy. Like him or not, he's a quality fighter
Re: Can Ricky Burns beat the likes of John Molina and Hank Lundy?
I think he could defeat both, though I think Lundy is very underrated. I think he beats Molina easier
Re: Can Ricky Burns beat the likes of John Molina and Hank Lundy?
bro kinda funny you say not to use the Katsidis fight as leverage but then go and put Lundy's fight against Diaz as his showing lol Diaz was shot in that fight and well he never was all that good in his prime either, right now I'd pick a shot Katsidis over a shot David Diaz lol
Re: Can Ricky Burns beat the likes of John Molina and Hank Lundy?
I don't think i've seen Lundy or Molina fight before, so i can't answer your question directly, but i seem to remember most 'experts' thought Burns had little chance against Martinez, and similarly so against Katsidis. I try not to get involved in the 'is x world class' debates, it's subjective and often hard to judge, but there are no doubts in my mind that Burns is capable of holding his own at the top level.
As i say, i've not seen enough of most of the Americans around the top ten to judge how Burns would do against them, but i think the likes of Rios and Guerrero would be too strong. One fight i could see happening somewhere along the line, assuming Burns stays in his current weightclass and continues to progress, would be Marquez. People might snigger at that, his first bout aside, he's only ever lost to elite fighters, and he's just gone toe-to-toe with, some would even argue beat (i had Manny by a round) the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world, but time catches up with everyone, and eighteen months down the line, when Marquez is touching 40, it could potentially be a great bit of matchmaking.
Personally, i'd like to see him get in with Murray, Rees, Mitchell, even, to a lesser extent, Crolla first. Those are five good British lightweights, and potentially some cracking domestic bouts.

I see what you're saying. Imo , Burns a this point, is a world class fighter. He would be dumb to stay at domestic level. He should fight Rios , Geurrero or Demarco at this point.

Sounds like you Brits havent seen much of molina and lundy.. these guys are unknown commodity in america as well outside of the hardcore circle. Burns is not a notch above them imo. Hope he faces some elite opposition in america so we can find out.
Terrible, nobody is using diaz fight as reference. That was the only fight that was available on youtube. U can just look at lundy and breakdown his style bruh, dont mind diaz..
ricky burns is not an elite fighter until he proves otherwise.. Lundy and molina are on the same boat.

i'm not bashing on you bro lol just the fight choice (although his skill is evident) just kinda is ironic
but in all honesty I think Burns (although not better than Marquez) is a lot better than most give him credit for, lets just sit back and see where he takes it from here

Yeah I agree, Burns is definitely better than he's given credit for. A Lundy or Molina fight would be fun but I think he should try to target bigger fish
