If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
Then he shouldn't be so dismissive of a fight with Kell Brook in my opinion..
I respect Prescott and his class in recent performances, he's up there with world class fighters, but on the other hand when you take losses both deserved and undeserved.. and Amir continues to talk about Pac and Floyd fights.. He shouldn't entertain the Prescott rematch, Unless he faulters against one of the top dogs and needs a big money comeback..
Even then, Kell should be the guy.
Re: If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
Thats what I was thinking, instead of wasting time fighting guys like lamont peterson whilst talking about a big fight with mayweather. Why doesn't he go to 147 and fight kell brook. I don't know what goes on in some fighters heads but he did tell bradley to 'grow some balls bro'.
Re: If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
Prescott is more deserving of a shot at Khan than Brook is.
Prescott hasn't had alot of success lately ( he deserved the McCloskey fight) but he still holds a dominating KO win over Khan.
Brook on the other hand has beaten who exactly ?
Re: If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
Next year I can see Khan, going up in weight and fighting
Hatton, it's just a fight that I can see happening.?;D
Re: If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
I'd definitely favour Peterson over Prescott if they ever fought. He is no easy opponent for Khan, although I expect him to win.
Why would Khan want to fight Brook at this stage? He has no world title. He has no name in America. He's not a household name in the Uk.
Khan vs Brook could be a Benn vs Eubank, Haye vs Enzo type British superfight somewhere down the line but not right now.
Khan is in America, fighting big fights on HBO, they will want him to fight recognisable names to the American public. If Brook proves himself and becomes a world champion then this fight can happen. But only when Khan is fighting at welterweight, when Brook has a title and a big name and when it commands a decent payday.
You don't serve up a meal like that before it's cooked properly.

I don't think people understand how boxing works so this post is a waste of time.
You'd have been better of putting "KHAN SHUD FUCKING FIGHT MARTINEZ MAN"
Re: If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
Khan is gonna fight Pacquiao. He said he's been whipping Pacquiao in sparring matches.
Re: If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
Prescott was pretty badly knocked out in his last fight and he lost to McCloskey in the one previous even if you thought Prescott won that fight, it was close. Because of the scoring controversy in the McCloskey fight, I felt that should Prescott win a fight against a Alvarado type of opponent, he would be as good of an opponent as any other other than Tim Bradley or Lamont Peterson etc. Now I don't believe so and I'm not sure how well he'll react after the Alvarado defeat. It could have been pretty demoralizing to be winning a hard fought scrap only to be knocked out badly in the final round.
Re: If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
Khan fighting Brooks would be a dangerous fight for him. I would respect Khan for taking the fight because it will give him greater confidence should he win to say he is ready for Floyd by beating a young hungry undefeated welterweight contender such as Brook.
More likely Khan will want to clear up the division and fight Bradley and then take an easier option at welterweight which would be Hatton.
Re: If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
Its a plausable domestic fight when kell has a welterweight title and he wouldnt be until after a possible floyd fight maybe so it could be a rebound title fight for Khan, from his point of view
Re: If Khan continues to entertain the idea of a Prescott rematch..
is Prescott actually any good ? he has been badly exposed since Khan.

Any reason or chance to fight Prescott are all but gone for Khan, it would be like Haye wanting to fight Carl Thompson.

Good comparison. I agree Brooks is a work in progress and he lacks the popularity and notoreity of Khan so it doesn't make sense for Khan to face him now. Brook doesn't have any big names on his resume. Brooks should see if he can coax Judah or someone like Judah into a fight in the UK for good money. It's a big name and Brooks will win.
