Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson - Saturday - fight/chat thread

The card starts @ 9:45 PM ET Saturday night here in the States on HBO beginning with The Cotto vs. Margo II re-play, i'm not sure but Box nation might show this card starting at 2:45 AM Sunday morning in the UK/Europe.

If Khan is as good as his fanboys believe he is, Peterson should be a walk in the park for him. I'll be curious to see if Lamont is much of a test, but I don't expect him to cause Khan much grief. (I can hope)

It's in Peterson's hometown, but thats as much as he's gonna get in this fight for me.

Amir should be taking care of this guy without too much trouble imo.

I say Lamont gives him a few problems early on but neglects to change his style to stop the speed of khan, or adjusts to anything Khan does and just tries to survive to the final bell.

Khan has fanboys?

Peterson is not a big puncher but he can box a bit. It's not a bad opponent for Amir Khan but Khan should win. Peterson doesn't have a great punch and Khan can punch a bit. I like Khan by ko, but I may change over the course of the week.

I hope Peterson does a "Prescott" on his punk ass.

I think Khan will win a competitive UD. Khan has the tools and needs to just put in a strong performance.

Peterson is a bit like a less good Khan in a lot of ways. Therefore I believe he can only win by KO and his punch power is average, so I dont think hes got much of a chance.

Now this is a khan fight im interested in. Every guy who wins a fight, bingo, or gets a winning five dollar lottery ticket jumps in line to ride floyd or pac's cack in a hurry to be the next person for one of those two to beat while there are plenty other fights out there. It amazes me to see people sick of floyds big mouth but can stomach the foolishness that comes out of khans. That being said he's decent just no where as good as he thinks he is at this point he has absolutly no chance beating floyd at anything let alone boxing he should beat peterson though. Either way this should be a decent fight.

Meh, style wise this one has potential to turn into a pose fest for a lil bit.

THis fight will tell us whether or not Khan can hang with Floyd..

If he puts up a struggle like Ortiz did, Floyd bout isn't interesting at all.

Khan is blessed with more talents but overall, he's not that much better than Peterson..

Khan by TKO, should be a decent fight though.
