I think between those 3 the United States will be back strong in the very near post-Klitschko future. We also have some outliers that may overachieve, Monk Foreman, Hasim Rahman Jr., etc.

Seth Mitchell is on the Khan/Peterson undercard, I think. That's the first I heard of him.
I've heard talk of Deontay Wilder for a couple of years now; yet to see him fight though.

Ah.... the cruelty of boxing. Which is why we're always left comparing fighters from different eras and never really get anywhere. Then again, I guess you could call that an endearing quality of boxing, too. It makes for lively, never-ending debates.

Well think of the other possibilities...sometimes we get a Prime Champion vs a challenger that's just not ready Holmes-Cooney, sometimes we get an ancient Champion vs a Prime challenger like Johnson-Willard.
HOPEFULLY the newest generation of heavyweights gives us some top notch fights!

Wilder is being moved VERY slowly and I don't believe it's random. It's no coincidence that he has a 100% KO ratio and that he's only been past the third round once, and in that fight, against Harold Sconiers (17-20 record at the time of the fight), he was put down on the cancas. He's also 6'7 and weighs 215 pounds for fights. He's tall enough to be a dominant heavyweight but not big enough. Will his chin hold up against punchers at that weight at the elite level? He's like the heavyweight Mike Lee in that department. This weekend is by far the biggest test of his career. In my opinion, even after this weekend, assuming Mitchell comes out victorious, Amir Mansour already has beat better competition but received 1/10 of the publicity. Problem is Mansour is too old to really make a run at it.
I'm not very familiar with Joe Hanks. I see on boxrec that he's fighting Tony Grano in a couple of months.
Bottom line I guess I'm just not as high on the future american heavyweight scene as you are.

Sure Wilder is being moved along slowly he was very raw coming up even as the bronze medalist. He also has a body that hasn't reached the point where his frame is totally filled in. At this point in time why rush the guy??? Do you want him to get a shot at a Klitschko or would you rather prepare him for what comes next? Deontay and his team can afford to take their time.
Seth Mitchell is an American heavyweight that comes to fight in shape. He's a hard worker in the ring and seemingly durable.
Joe Hanks has balance to his game, he looks like a boxer, he acts like a boxer...I think out of all of them he has the best chance.
Again with Amir Mansour?!?!?! You know why Amir Mansour doesn't get press??? He's 5'11 and 39 years old, that's why he gets no press!!! Sweet merciful crap man....look to the FUTURE. Wilder 26 years old, Mitchell 29, Hanks 28....these guys will probably fight until they are as old as Amir Mansour is right now

I hear you on moving Wilder slowly, but he could be fighting someone with a pulse by now. He's giving Chavez Jr. a run for his money, maybe even taking him out for a record of easy fights in a row. Say what you want about Chavez Jr., but at pretty much the same stage in his career, he fought Carlos Molina twice. I'm just suspicious of why Wilder is being brought along so slowly. That's all.
Mitchell could be good. The jury is still out, but I'm curious to see how he performs on Saturday.
What is the name of the Latin heavyweight from Texas maybe that is 30-0? I can't remember his name.
