How do you feel about guys who talk themselves into big paydays?
Do you get irritated when more deserving candidates are thrown to the wayside in favor of the brash trashtalker who, using his mouth and not his fists, generated big interest in a fight and got the big payday? Does it take away from the credibility of boxing?
Or are the charismatic trash talkers essential to keep boxing afloat now adays by selling more tickets?

David Haye,it worked for him yes he said a lot But he did not do a lot,
and he will get one more large pay day next year.?;D
Re: How do you feel about guys who talk themselves into big paydays?
Yeah I was thinking of David Haye. He talked a lot of shit and came up with a pathetic performance... but it worked out great for him because he made a lot of money from it and got boxing excited about a HW fight.
Re: How do you feel about guys who talk themselves into big paydays?
Why hold anything against the talker trying to get a big fight and payday, hold your grudges against the champ thinking he had an easy victory and payday against a lesser fighter instead of fighting someone who deserves a shot based on their past performances.

As a David Haye fan I felt cheated and that's how I feel if you talk at least try.
Re: How do you feel about guys who talk themselves into big paydays?
Audley is a bigger fraud.
Re: How do you feel about guys who talk themselves into big paydays?
They deserve alot of credit for knowing how to talk into one.. Talking is skills..

Ricardo Mayorga is the master at doing this, along with Don King helping him and stealing all the fucking earnings.
Mayorga has talked his way into more high profile ass whippings than perhaps any boxer in history. ;D
But, he's still the man.
