Journeymen avoiding a cut
If a name fighter is cut against a journeyman (clash of heads say) is it in the journeymans interest to target the cut
I mean they are there to lose, who would risk their fighter against someone who had just ruined someones face
Is i in his interest to avoid the cut?
Re: Journeymen avoiding a cut
Are you asking is it in a journeymans interest to try to win for fear of developing a rep as a spoiler ???

I'm not sure I have read this right but I don't believe a journeyman is there to 'lose'. I would like to think a jouneyman fighter is there wanting to win and will do anything to win...even targetting a cut.
It's the fight game.

thats what i always thought, and i think he would do everything to win but im starting to change my mind, causing any kind of lasting damage on an opponent?
obviously it depends on what level of fighter the journeyman is, if he more of a stepping stone to better things maybe a win by any means would be his phylosophy

I think they call those guys just there to pay the rent sparring partners, and the ones losing at the big show are called Rocky Juarez's ;D. But really any fighter entering the ring with the attitude of losing being an option should be serving drinks in the casino that night or parking the cars.
