Yeah he's a good ref..heck, even the commision had to do a pretty good job of convincing him to stop the Margarito Cotto fight! ;D
Best in the business lately, and while he lets fights go on a bit I dont think he ever lets em go to far, he seems to know exactly when to stop em honestly.
Smoger and Bayless are the best refs right now.
Smogger is a great ref however for this particular fight and the styles of both fighters I dont know that is such a good idea as Smogger does let alot go on in fights and lets the fighters pretty much go at it without interfering but based on the Kessler VS Ward fight I can see this as a huge advantage for Ward who can adapt a style for this fight that utilizes alot of head rushing in and butting and that just as in the Kessler fight can make a huge impact on the fight.
I like Ward alot as a fighter and he seems like a very respectful guy however I didnt like his perfromance against Kessler, his head won that fight. I could see Kessler doing alot better if the butts didnt cause so many cuts on him.
I dont think Froch lets Ward get away with it and it could turn into an ugly foul filled fight which will result in point deductions and obviously sour an otherwise great fight.
It'll be interesting to see those who were upset about rules being enforced this past sat, yelling for calls this sat. Like collazo berto a good ref'ed fight will make it kinda exciting. If ward gets away with what he usually does it'll be boring and ward will have no problems
He ballsed it up a bit in the Roy v Leb fight in the 10th and last, but I can understand why since it was so close to the end. Generally he is good
