Comparitively this is a pretty big step up for Chavez will beinteresting to see how he does.
wouldn't be shocked to see it end like the Lemouix fight, Chavez Jr leading early then begin to fade (he has known stamina issues) and then Rubio coming on strong late, either beating him down the stretch or stopping him in the later rounds by accumulation of punches which Jr takes quite often against lesser fighters, either way lets see if he does manage to pull off the win to see if he has the guts to actually step in with Martinez as he says he will
Wouldn't be surprised to see this fight vanish in to thin air like the "Quillin-Rubio fight".

JCC Jr. is doing what his dad did...training on the job. I dont think he had much of an amatuer background so of course he is going to fight lesser opponenets to start however I have never heard JCC Jr talking crap to anyone or considering himself to be P4P. You come off as a nationalistic boxing fan who just hates Mexican fighters for your own reasons, I have conceded to the fact that Margarito is a cheater and my embaressment of him as a fighter pretty much kept me from posting on the the forum for almost a year after the hand wrap scandal came out; that being said your nationalism is clearly evident not just to me but other posters on the forum as well, and thats fine with me as that is the reason that I wanted Margarito to win because I am a nationalistic fan as well and I wanted the cheater to redeem himself just like you would have done the same if this forum was around when Luis Resto did the same thing.

So I wanted to get info before I brought this up again...Chavez opponents to date have a combined record of 619-196. Not stellar but not losing records. ;)
