Schaefer identifies ' mystery man ' and reveals WBA will order a Peterson-Khan rematc
Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer has now identified the mystery man with the black hat. “His name is Mustafa Ameen and the IBF have confirmed to us his name, and they have confirmed to us that he’s involved in an official capacity with the IBF,” Schaefer told Sky Sports News. “However, he was not in Washington in an official IBF capacity, but the IBF asked the Washington commission to issue him a credential so that he could attend the fight.”
Schaefer also stated, “We have been informed today by the WBA that they will order an immediate rematch. We received a verbal confirmation today and we will get a written confirmation by next Tuesday.”

Maybe Khan won, maybe he didn't. This is exactly what is wrong with boxing. The people in charge put themselves in a position where they can be criticised. All that happens is boxing ends up with less integrity.

No matter what, the fight was still competitive and it ain't a robbery. Criticizing every tight defeat like if it was the smuggling of the century is ludicrous and it's a tendency that Golden Boy tends to take. Khan'S lost is his single fault because he did let Peterson bully him and didn't know how to fight from the inside, period.

I think the WBA are making the right move here. It wasn't a robbery, it was really tight, and the two point deduction, whether it was right or wrong, probably nudged it in favour of Peterson. However, the IBF guy looks amazingly dodgy, and looks more like a gangster than a boxing official, but maybe that's me watching too many movies.
