I was not born yet when that plane went down, this was the re-tooled line-up, but yeah their influence in rock'n'roll never reached what it could have, same with Ritchie Valens & Buddy Holly (let's be real, the Big Bopper was just a "fun act").Quote:

I always wanted to see Rainbow and Deep Purple but never did. One of the stupidest things I've ever done was in 2008, I think it was. The Sweet was playing this 3 day outdoors show up here, and I have loved that band since the early 70s. The first thing I ever bought for myself was probably the 45 (a little record for you youngsters) with Little Wille and Man From Mecca and I think I was in 3rd or 4th grade at the time.
Anyway, they were playing 40 miles from here and I didn't go and see them. Stupid, just stupid.
Seen Rainbow twice with Dio and Bonnet they were excellent, one of the best band I haveQuote:
