Chris Eubank post-Hatton/Pac '09
'Ricky was reckless. I imagine he didn't listen to the trainer, Floyd Senior. But when he did counter punch after the first round, Ricky was doing good before he lost his control again.
'He may have possessed a faster foot speed than Pacquaio, but Pacquaio was in control enough to use multi-directional foot movement that caused Hatton to keep having to change direction once he'd got close to catching up with him. Ricky would then get frustrated, throwing wild punches to try to close the distance, and Pacquaio's masterful movement would come into play in that as soon as he'd land on Ricky, he'd weave and side step to avoid exchange.
'Ricky wanted to fight, Manny wanted to box and punch. Pacquaio has the discipline and conditioning to weave and side step after almost every punch or combination he throws. Maximo Pierret taught this to me and I put it into practice in one of my best wins against Graciano Rocchigiani.'

Its insulting that the clown Eubank spouts his bullshit , Ricky got hammered fighting the best 2 fighters on the planet.
Eubank didnt fight G-MAN / Toney / Jones JR / Mcallum / he kept it in the UK , i really cant stand him.

You know what the pitty is, things have changed and eubank would get the same respect now unless he did travel
His career would probably be very different
Re: Chris Eubank post-Hatton/Pac '09
Eubanks was a solid fighter when he fought Benn and Watson, but after that near fatal fight he took the Sky money and fought wasters. Cannot blame him for that but I cannot credit him for it either.

He was getting good pay day's off Sky, I don't think he feared any fighter he was a showman
come on you lot he was entertaining.;D
Re: Chris Eubank post-Hatton/Pac '09
I always liked him. He was my favourite when I was a kid. You can understand how a fight such as his with Watson could change a fighter, he was never the same after that.

Well, Ricky got paid £17,000,000 to fight the best fighter - Eubank maybe didn't even get offered £1,700,000 to do the same.
He fought Pacquaio 12 years into his career. Eubank fought Calzaghe 12 years into his career, on 11 days notice for about £200,000. He then moved up not one but two weight divisions, and dominated a 210lb ripped warrior twice before his eye shut both times - knocking the 210lb ripped warrior down twice in the first fight, and in the second fight lifting the 210lb ripped warrior clean off his feet with an uppercut.
No comparison mate.
Re: Chris Eubank post-Hatton/Pac '09
His record sucked?? He fought teak-tough Eric Holland in just his 4th fight, world-rated Anthony Logan in just his 12th fight, useful Hugo Corti (who knocked out legendary Hugo Corro and v.nearly had Pyatt out in the first round), Benn twice, Watson twice, future world champs (Malinga, Rocchi), former world champs (Lindell, Rocchi), heavy hitters Thornton 'n' Wharton, Euro champ Close, Collins, Calzaghe... and Thompson four weights higher than he fought Holland at... His record certainly didn't suck!

Eubanks experience will be invaluable when he brings a long his son. That will be a great partnership to see grow and develop.
