I don't know much about this gentleman. From what I understand he was pretty terrible for a heavyweight champ even a WBA one. ;D
Only real fight of his I watched was when he was way over the hill fighting Iran Barkley so that is hardly a fair fight to judge him on.
Was he worth a damn ? Does he just get a bad rap ?
He was manoeuvred right by Don King, who infamously stepped over his own fighter Dokes to get his hands on Coetzee. Remember Gerry getting busted up by Bruno, which tells you everything you need to know about his level in boxing.
Yes I watched that one last night. People say Coetzee was a lil over the hill by the time he fought Bruno. He sure got hammered by that overhand right of Bruno's.Quote:
