Set maximum time limits on sports president terms
Jose Sulaiman needs to go....... NOW. This corrupt bastard has been at the helm of the WBC since 1975. Hell... he was President of the WBC before Ronald Reagan was President of the United States. I'm sure he's done some good things (not lately, though).... but he's become a JOKE. His bias toward Mexican fighters can be seen from outer space. He's defended scumbags like Antonio Margarito... and is a big part of the "spoon-feeding" of Baby Chavez. His rankings of Mexican fighters reek of nationalism.
By contrast, Sepp Blatter gets widely criticized and people say he should step down.... and he's been FIFA president since 1998. Or basically "yesterday" when compared to Sulaiman's term.
I think they should've both been gone by now. It ain't healthy to have the same person in charge for such a long time. Bad habits can form, and besides.... there's always a need for new blood, new ideas. Just like in the government. If a U.S. president can't go beyond two terms... then neither should a sports federation president.
In Sulaiman's case, it has generated a lot of mistrust and dislike for the sport from the fringe fans, and even the hardcore fans. He needs to go........ NOW.

Thing is, once he's gone, his son is just going to take his place, and nothing will change.
Re: Set maximum time limits on sports president terms
With the present system these people are their for life and they will line up their friends to replace them. I am sure Platini will replace Sepp and thus he does not rock the boat. Anyone that dares challenge them suddenly finds them being expelled which shows the power they have and corruption in the system. It is there is the Olympics too as well as politics in European Union and so on. Elections will help but is not the full answer to the problem.
