My birthday was a few days ago now and I don't really remember anything. Not one of my finest 24 hours, but I made it through okay. I drank at least half a shandy.
The good thing is that I finally got my kindle today having ordered it almost a month ago. Not having anything to read has in part made me go a bit bonkers recently so I am relieved about that. I'm not the kind of person that copes very well without always having a book on the go. I need to be distracted and usually reading fills the void that work provides. I typically read quite a bit and I didn't prepare any reading material as I thought I would have my kindle weeks ago. A big mistake.
What else is there to do? You exercise, you eat something, you check the latest news, you do some planning and then there is that void. Typically I will just read or play the guitar. I did write a nice song, but it has no lyrics and when that was done I was thinking 'What do I do now?' and so I just started drinking and that was my birthday. One shouldn't remember their birthday and I don't remember much, but it's time to calm down now. I am getting old and self preservation needs to kick back in.
There are no instructions with this kindle so I am going to have to learn how to use it. I'm so excited to be able to download books, but I don't know how it all works yet. Maybe someone could give me a few pointers about what to do. I'm hoping to get hold of some books tomorrow, but where do you go? It's all a mystery to me right now.
Oh, and happy birthday Memphis. I hope it was a good one and only partially drunk.
