I've read that it is just rumored. It isn't even recorded as Gesta's next fight.

Juan Manuel Marquez is scheduled to fight Cuenca as per boxrec.

Khan is fighting Peterson, Gamboa is fighting Rios, Broner just fought and he's not gonna take on Marquez, Maidana just fought and lost against Alexander, Judah is fighting Paris, and Bradley's fighting Pacquiao, soooooooo from that list the only other available option would be Guerrero, so not really Marquez' fault

I saw that fight, and neither did enough to deserve a "W". Certainly no one beat anyone ass. If Marquez could sell out a big stadium, everyone would be calling him out. He might be able to sell out Getafeif he were to fight a Canelo.

I'm pretty sure a well known MEXICAN fighter won't have too much trouble selling tickets in TEXAS, where there is a large MEXICAN fanbase, it's simple logic

Erm...Marquez is fighting Cuenca so it'd be in a few months, Judah/Paris winner would certainly be possible, Maidana would be free, Guerrero isn't free I don't think.

I've not seen a single source that suggest that Marquez isn't fighting Cuenca, or that he's fighting Gesta.
