Undeserving Challengers To World Title Tilts
My nomination is our very own Brit Howard Clark who got a shock title fight against the Formidable IBF Light Middlewight Champion Fernando Vargas back in 1999.
Howard leading up to this title chance was a mediocre 26-10-2 with 2 decent results in wins over Jason Papillion & Andres Galfi....fair enough!!!
After this amazing World Title opportunity Howard then went 1-68-0
I'm just wondering if this could be probably be the worst losing stretch after getting such a great opportunity to show case your skills on the World scene?
Job Biscuit (Great job)!!!
eh eh!!!

Oh, wow. That's interesting. You'd think he'd have stopped after ten consecutive losses.

30 of the 69 opponents had unbeaten records.....poor match making I suspect...shame if that is the case, though Howard lost in a title fight he could have gone on to being a success if matched correctly even if it was at European level....will never know!!!!
Job Biscuit (Maybe he was happy fighting the best at domestic level)!!!
eh eh!!!
Re: Undeserving Challengers To World Title Tilts
Pete Rademacher fought for the heavyweight title in his pro debut :o
Not really his fault but Tim Tomashek literally came out of the crowd to fight Morrison for his WBO strap after Mike Williams refused to come out of the dressing room. There was a similar situation to this when Isidro Garcia was picked out of the crowd to fight Jose Lopez for the WBO flyweight title....difference was he won ;D

That Garcia-Lopez story is awesome. I like the detail in the article about how Garcia was eating a donut in the audience when they approached him.
