Just kind of throwing this out there, but I was watching a baseball game yesterday, and I noticed that the footwork and hip-twisting movement of the person batting is very similiar to a boxer throwing a straight right cross. The stance is a bit different (some baseball players stance is closer to 90 degrees whereas a boxers is 45 degrees), but the hips twisting and the back foot pivoting is almost the same.
