Last night I felt thıs weırd tınglıng feelıng ın the left sıde of my head and ıt was sımılar to when your arm or leg falls asleep and then you get the pıns and needles when the blood flows back ın. I wasnt layıng down but was uprıght the whole tıme. I had thıs weırd feelıng lıke I was goıng to drop or faınt or somethıng. It lasted about 5 mınutes.
Re: Last time you thought you were going to die
Ive had a number of them. Couple of times out at sea. righting off a H2 series Kawasaki 750. Once getting arrested for suspicion of heroin trafficking in Malaysia. (not guilty).
But the time before last I lost vision in one eye while driving on a freeway in lots of traffic.
turned out to be something that went away in ten minutes ,that was easily explained by a cardiologist and happens to people with a slight prolapse of a heart valve when lifting very heavy things that they cant lift the day before. But the out at sea ones were the worse.

It's possible you had a light stroke or a "TIA", i'd definitely tell my doctor about it. In the meantime, i'd suggest taking an aspirin a day, aspirin works wonders as a blood thinner.
cheers

If you have an aneurism aspirin is probably going to kill you.
If you have a blood clot then aspirin is the answer, I wouldnt risk it.

I was thinking more along the lines of a small blockage, not a blood clot, that's why I said an aspirin. An aneurism seems unlikely, but if I were Brockton, I'd go see a Doctor straight away and get some tests run. It could amount to nothing, but you never know.

Get yourself to a hospital right now and demand a heart cath. It is a lot easier to fix stuff before you have a heart attack, and then you can go on better than you were.
Re: Last time you thought you were going to die
A car crash in 2000 where I totally wrote off the car as it went straight over a huge roundabout. The engine should have crushed me and my brother in law in the front seat. It was too quick to be afraid but I do have flashbacks and that scares me. Slowed down my driving ever since.
Re: Last time you thought you were going to die
There were a few times I drank so much I thought I would die...dry heaved so much one time I pulled a muscle in my back.
I had a bought with a Norovirus and that wasn't fun....didn't really feel like dying though
Had an allergic reaction to something....now THAT was horrible. I took a Benadryl and fought through it.
This subject reminds me of a line in 'Paths of Glory' "People aren't afraid of dying, they're afraid of getting hurt"
