has jones got anything but a punchers chance against brook?
I have seen very little of Jones but he looks far too raw to have any chance
he looks like he might be able to punch but i dont see any standard in his oppostion really show that
anyone else seen anything in him i havent?

I've come to the conclusion he is the US version of Brook. Should be a career defining fight for them both. One will remain domestic level, the other catapulted to the world stage.
In truth it's probably going to be another easy Brook win, but as per usual I've bought into the hype and I'm excited.
That is what your girlfriend always says that you get too excited too early. :)
I wish I could watch this fight, I think Brooks is a quality world class fighter, I think Jones is not at his level and should win convincingly. I will have to watch Fury instead on this fight. :(
Re: has jones got anything but a punchers chance against brook?
hope/proksa rematch on the undercard as well

Any idea why this one is rated 5 star on BoxRec
Re: has jones got anything but a punchers chance against brook?
I watched a few rounds of Jones on youtube after learning Brook was odds-on for the KO. I wasn't very impressed. Be surprised if Brook can't stop him.
@Rantcatrat - I think Proksa will show that last fight all wrong (even though I thought he won). He seemed to have took Hope far too lightly. I reckon he'll get the KO this time.
The bookies certainly think last time was a blip - Proksa (1/5) Hope (4/1)

im not so sure, hope was relentless pressure and proska couldnt deal with it (although it was close)
he suits a style where he has at least a bit of room where the other guy is gonna try and box hm
i see 2 outcomes, proska one punch KO or hope on points
Re: has jones got anything but a punchers chance against brook?
I think Proksa is much better than he showed the first time. He looked knackered after a few rounds, which can only be due to a lack of preparation.
Having said that, and I do think Proksa will win this time, Hope is worth a saver at 4/1 (could have his number?).
Re: has jones got anything but a punchers chance against brook?
Jones isnt that good , ive also been watching some of his fights , i dont consider Jones to be that big a puncher either.
However im not sold on the Sheffield LIMBO dancer either , he really needs to show some devil in his work , if he plods to a UD , i dont think it would be a great result for Brook.
Jones has a chance if he pressures Brook early going for the KO.
My guess is Brook - wins ud.

I'm not sure what you mean by "raw" because Jones has faced the superior opposition. However, Brook has looked like the real deal against relatively poor opposition, save Rafal. All around, this is a good fight. I expect Jones to test Brook more than you anticipate, Erics. It is closer than the odds have it, in my opinion, yet Brook should win.

Fenster, I believe you are right on the money. In a way, the Hope loss could have been exactly what Proksa needed to get him back into gear.
Re: has jones got anything but a punchers chance against brook?
Brook will use him for target practise, the only flash thing about Jones is the way he's dressed, a very
one sided drubbing I'm afraid.;)

by raw i just meant if you compare their styles, brooks timing and accuracy and technique is top of the shop, where as jones' is a bit wild when you compare
i could be wrong tho, ive only seen a few clips

We were right. Proksa much better this time.
Re: has jones got anything but a punchers chance against brook?
Yes, @Fenster, he was much better. Who do you favor in a match of Proksa versus Barker for EU Title? Leaning Barker...
