Vitali Injured In Ukraine Riot
Anyone see this report this morning? It says on fightnews that Vitali was a part of a protest against the introduction of Russian as an official language in Ukraine, and that the crowd were hit with tear gas. He also suffered a gash to his arm while caught in the crowd during this counter-offensive by the police.
The description on the brief story doesn't look too bad, but what sort of side-effects and after-effects can tear gas have? Also depends on how bad the gash is, but its got to affect his training somehow. If it was closer to the fight it might be a bigger issue.

This is of course a very serious issue, and the Ukraine is certainly somewhere that democracy is still to fully spread its wings. However, the pics do make it look like they're having a group poo.
Vitali is definitely preparing for a post-boxing career in politics.
