Some good boxing Documentary's on ESPN UK tonight
OK just a quick heads up.... as I was flipping through the sports channel to record some early morning Olympic Judo for the kids I noticed some really good boxing docs about to start on ESPN
build up of Ali Vs Holmes clash followed by Tyson talking about Tupac's death on the night of the Tyson Seldon fight and then a doc on the real Rocky, Chuck Wepner.
well worth a sky plus if you catch this post in time
Re: Some good boxing Documentary's on ESPN UK tonight
Watched all of these tonight really good stuff.
Ali Vs Holmes made me realise just how much medication Ali was on for that fight and left me feeling more sorry for Holmes than i did before... he was in tears in an interview after the fight over what he had just done.
The Wepner Doc was better than I expected as he talked how he felt over the Rocky movie, his cocaine use, jail time and alleged that Ali asked him to call him a nigga to help sell the fight :o
Wepner bought his wife a blue negligee the night before the Ali fight and said to her put that on tomorrow night as you will be sleeping with the heavyweight champion of the world.
that night after the fight Wepner turned up at the hotel and found his wife in bed wearing the negligee... she said to him "Well is Ali coming here or am i going to his room" ;D;D;D
Well worth a watch as its bound to be repeated ;)

Saddo these are repeats and they are very good. Ali with his tash is weird. Tyson and Tu Pac was good documentary.

Do you have ESPN? I thought you only had sky?
The documentaries have been on before and they are excellent. The Holmes v Ali is really sad and how King can live with himself as well as Ali's team is beyond me.
