Re: Mares v. Moreno on 10/13
I haven't seen Moreno although i know of his reputation, Mares on the other hand im big fan of ever since i see him on a undercard can't remember which, i've been following him for quite a few years now. And seen all his most important fights, i hope Abner Mares wins as im a big fan.

@ICB - unfortunately, he's up against a tough competitor in this fight. Moreno is a smooth operator on defense, and transitions into offense effortlessly. However, I've noticed Moreno doesn't always sway the judges with his defense. Mares throws some volume. It'll be an interesting clash of styles. I like both guys and look forward to the fight.
Re: Mares v. Moreno on 10/13
Moreno 8-4 or 9-3 is what I think will actually happen. I have less faith in the judges actually calling it that way, since I expect Mares to be ineffectively aggressive and get undeserved credit for that. Honestly though, Moreno should pick him apart. He's better at everything except doggedly coming forward.
I am not a Mares fan and would love to see the hype get doused here. Wildly overrated IMO.

I'm a little less pessimistic about that. Nonito has said in every recent interview that he wants to grab at least three of the belts before moving up to 126.

It would force Top Rank and Golden Boy to work with each other, which they have been reluctant to do, as of late.
