I was just reading about this shit before. Honestly, something simply HAS to be done about it. How can a supreme champ, who has fought his ass off and won the belts, paid the sanctioning fees, be told that he can only hold one belt. Totally fuckin ridiculous. There should be some uber boxing org that tells the lot of them to piss off with their stupid rules.

I think Martinez is in a similar position, as Daniel Geale wants to fight him, but he's been told he can't fight Geale for the WBA if he wants to keep the WBC.

Boxers need to start standing up for themselves and telling the orgs to go fuck themselves. Sooner or later no-one is genuinely gonna give a shit about belt orgs at this rate anyway surely....

Correct me if I'm wrong but a 'lineal' champ doesn't have an actual belt yes? If so and if the ultimate goal of any fighter is to be the lineal champ then why don't they all just be done away these trinkets? They already get robbed as is by their managers, they dont need sanctioning bodies to rub them some more for good measure.
