It's such a shame calzaghe lost his power and was plagued with hand injuries because he was an unbelievable talent! The guy could land an 8 punch combination at will!!
A Friend of mine (A former amateur and current coach) recently said this about joe:
'Calzaghe was great, exciting, unique. His footwork, defense, ringsmanship all go unnoticed, because his speed and aggression grab the attention. He was a GREAT boxer, period'

Joe was a fantastic boxing talent, slapper or not.
Re: Joe Calzaghe: How To Throw A Combination
I cannot think of any top fighter who could throw as many punches per round and keep it up for the full duration of 12 world championship rounds as Joe. This stamina and endurance was the last thing that he had left after his hands were shot and he kept getting knocked down.

All jokes aside, that's probably the most level-headed thing anybody here has said about Joe Calzaghe. Despite disliking his character and his ugly boxing, there's no denying he did he have skills to get by everyone he went in with..but most people when talking about Calzaghe is "He would have.." or "What if.." and that just won't do for me.

Even the refs face looks so sad like, "Come onnnn man :( wtf am I watching here? My hearts telling me to take a point for these bitch slaps but my head says Warren won't fund my new Aston Martin if I do.." ;D
