It was heating up to be a good little fight. I was looking forward to this one as I like both guys, especially Ponce De Leon.
Johnny Gonzalez was smart to go to the cards when he did as Ponce was closing the distance and starting to hurt him after that knockdown. Cut wasn't going to get much better. Close fight, but I felt the right guy got the decision.
Farhood was way off with his scorecard imo.
Agreed! The first thing I thought was that Ponce was there as an opponent, but Gonzalez didn't have an answer for Ponce's "Drunken Master" style. Ponce is fun to watch but I feel sorry for anyone he fights. Like you said he is awkward, awkward, awkward. He throws one punch that looks somewhat like a hammer fist.Quote:
